Things You Need To Know.

Written By Jueseppi B.

This Mid Term Election is 7 days away, thats, that one week. In one week, America will either fail and fall into it's worse political climate ever, or America will succeed and continue to crawl out of the enormous hole George Dubbya Bush spent his 8 year Presidential term digging for all of America.
Either way there are some things you need to know.....things the media is NOT reporting. Why are they not reporting the facts and truth? The media makes "more" money when we Americans are tuning in each day/night to TV news shows, or buying newspapers, or dialing into talk radio, where the fear and biased reporting is against this President and his administration, they sell advertisement spots at a premium.

Here are some things you need to know........
"According to Tax Policy Center estimates, 96.9 percent of households enjoyed a tax cut that averaged almost $1,200. Just one measure—Obama’s Making Work Pay tax credit—put more than $116 billion into people’s pockets in 2009 and 2010.

Yet, a Times poll found that fewer than 10 percent of those surveyed had any clue. Remarkably, fully one-third thought their taxes went up—even though the actual number was about zero.

How could so many people have missed it? After all, $1,200 ain’t nothing. In large part, it was due to the design of Obama’s tax plan. Earlier stimulus tax cuts often came in the form of ostentatious checks from the Treasury. In 2008, for example, President Bush proposed a tax reduction only half the size of Obama’s (about $145 billion). But it was delivered to households in the form of rebate checks—generally $600 per adult and $300 per child."

In September, 23 states and the District of Columbia registered over-the-month unemployment rate decreases, 11 states recorded increases, and 16 states had no change. Nonfarm payroll employment decreased in 34 states and increased in 16 states and the District of Columbia.

Here are some things you need to know........
  • The President signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which has been responsible for about 3 million American jobs and brought the economy back from the brink of another depression.
  • The President signed Wall Street Reform, the most sweeping reforms since the Great Depression, to hold Wall Street accountable, put an end to bailouts and "too big to fail," and enforce the strongest consumer protections in history.
  • The President signed the Small Business Jobs Act providing  tax breaks and better access to credit for millions of small businesses.
  • The President signed the HIRE Act providing a payroll tax credit for companies that hire employees who have been looking for work for 60 days or more.  Millions of workers have been hired through this process already.
  • The President launched the National Export Initiative with a goal of doubling exports and supporting several million new jobs over five years.
  • The President announced the "Making Home Affordable" home refinancing plan.
  • The President launched a $15 billion plan to boost lending to small businesses.
  • President Obama played a lead role in G-20 Summit that produced a $1.1 trillion deal to combat the global financial crisis.
  • The President signed the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act which gives the federal government more tools to investigate and prosecute fraud, from lending to the financial system, and creates a bipartisan Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission to investigate the financial practices that brought us to this point.
  • The President signed the Helping Families Save Their Homes Act, expanding on the Making Home Affordable Program to help millions of Americans avoid preventable foreclosures, providing $2.2 billion to help combat homelessness , and helping to stabilize the housing market for everybody.
  • The President signed the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility, and Disclosure (CARD) Act to protect Americans from unfair and deceptive credit card practice

Here are some things you need to know........

Protecting Social Security

President Obama believes that all seniors should be able to retire with dignity, not just a privileged few. He is committed to protecting Social Security and working in a bipartisan manner to preserve its original purpose as a reliable source of income for American seniors. The President stands firmly opposed to privatization and rejects the notion that the future of hard-working Americans should be left to the fluctuations of financial markets. The RepubliCANTS/teabaggers will abolish, that means do away with, Social Security.
Here are some things you need to know........
As Americans, we CAN NOT Allow the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers to make America dependent on corporations for our survival. Big Business/Corporations, like the notorious Koch Brothers, And Koch Industries, do not have the vest interests of America on it's agenda.
Vote Democratic on "NO"vember 2nd, 2010. Send All These RepubliCANTS/teabaggers Straight To The Unemployment Line On "NO"vember 3rd, 2010....The Same Unemployment Line They Wish To Abolish!!!
