Racial Pride

I was engaged in a conversation a few days ago where an older Black American female was remarking on her racial pride for the POTUS and his being the first Black American in the White House. Lo and behold, a caucasian younger woman came forward saying that this older Black American was playing the race card by saying what she said. Of course I totally, strongly disagree.


Racial pride to a person of color, who has witnessed racial oppression as far back as one can remember, means having pride in seeing someone of your particular race become a trailblazer, make a way for, become the very first, or do something very well while representing your people. It should not be exclusive to any one race to have racial pride. ALL people of ALL races should and do have racial pride, but for some reason Black Americans are made to feel negative about their racial price


Many, many Black Americans have racial pride for POTUS Obama, exactly as they did for Jackie Robinson.
Just as the did for Harold Washington in Chicago. Just as they did for Thurgood Marshall. Racial pride is a natural reaction to anything good/great that is accomplished bu your "people'. Now for the race card...not really sure what this means, race card, is it in reference to the "O.J." trial of the mid 90's? I believe that was the first time I ever heard that "race card" used.
To Caucasians Americans......Don't worry, it is perfectly OK for people to feel racial pride, it is not racists, it is not code for anything negative.
To Black Americans....Continue on as you were.

I apologize, I made a big misjudgment. For the past few months I have been of the single mindset that POTUS Obama was correct in his diplomatic approach to the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers. I see now the diplomatic approach is viewed by the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers as weak. POTUS Obama is viewed by the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers as a lame duck/one term President , and he well may be a lame duck/one term President if he does not get down and dirty with the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers.


I watched POTUS Obama's speech this afternoon, and it saddened me to my very core. A once proud man, filled with fire and passion and imagination about what to do for America, has been reduced to a shell of his former self. Twenty Four months of mental beating, criticizing, discrediting, blaming, slandering, second guessing, defending himself, and being disrespected can take it's toll on a man. I observed some asshole from the "Dear Lord" hate group saying how Obama needed to get some "Just for Men" cause he looked old.
Watching POTUS Obama today give his press conference, he looked old and defeated.


So, here's my suggestion to MY POTUS....time to get ghetto. Time to do it "The Chicago Way". Time to show "Speaker" Boehner just who the President Of The United States IS!!!
Some of "Speaker" Boehner's thoughts....
"We're not going to raise taxes. ... We're not going to have cap and trade (carbon-emission limits) on the House floor. Removing that uncertainty that exists today will do more to help America's employers than anything we do."


"I believe that the health care bill that was enacted by the current Congress will kill jobs in America, ruin the best health care system in the world and bankrupt our country," he said Wednesday at a Capitol Hill news conference. "That means that we have to do everything we can to try to repeal this bill and replace it with common-sense reforms that'll bring down the cost of health insurance."

Boehner also has called for extending tax cuts and reining in federal spending to be priorities. On spending, he's called for ending the practice of rolling many federal programs into comprehensive spending bills in favor of requiring specific votes agency by agency.

"Members shouldn't have to vote for big increases at the Commerce Department just because they support NASA," he said last month in a speech at the American Enterprise Institute. "Each department and agency should have to justify itself each year to the full House and Senate, and be judged on its own."

Mr. POTUS Obama, might I suggest you look Speaker Boehner straight in the eye and repeat after me....

"I, Barack Who's Sane Obama, are the President Of The United States, and as Speaker of The House, if you want one damn thing you desire to pass into law, or become viable legislation, you will do it MY way or NOTHING you want to accomplish will get done!!! I am The POTUS, NOT you. I have bent over backwards,

since my swearing in, to work with all members of Congress & The Senate. Instead of working with me, you asses have obstructed me at every turn, NO MORE!! From this moment on you either work as a full fledged government body, with common goals in mind that benefit ALL Americans, or I will obstruct this government and shut it down."

This is the ONLY way to be The POTUS that We The People Elected in 2008. Time to "play nice" is over. Time to be "bi-partisan" has passed. Time to "extend the olive branch" is gone......It Is Now Time To Kick Ass And Take Names.

You didn't get mad when Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.
You didn't get mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

America Is Phucked!! And So Is The Democratic Party.

Tonight magnifies the division and stupidity of the Democratic Party. The RepubliCANTS/teabaggers didn't beat the Democrats, The Democrats beat themselves. One very brilliant example is the Senate race In Florida. Rep. Kendrick Meek is the Democratic candidate for this states Senate seat, but, the Ex-President, Mr. Bill Clinton, asked Mr. Meeks to step aside for Independent/Ex-RepubliCANT, Charlie Crist. Of course Mr. Meeks did not, and I do not blame him one bit. If anyone should have stepped down or pulled out, it should have been Mr. Charlie Crist, and the Democrats should have backed THEIR Party candidate. If I am Not mistaken, Mr. Robert Kennedy Jr., also publicly backed/endorsed Mr. Rubio...a RepubliCANT, saying Mr. Meeks could not win. Stupidity.


If the Democrats are not able to support and endorse and back their own Parties candidates, how can they expect voters to get up, go out, and vote for the Democratic ticket? This is insane, what happened to the Democratic Party? IF Democrats are not pleased with the candidates who win the primaries and then run for the general election seats....change the system. But to sabotage the entire system of the election process is, again...insane. Democrats did not get out there and preach their accomplishments, they did not get out and campaign, they did not market themselves as a Party that is doing the job.
Democrats failed.


POTUS Obama is one man, and he is human. He is responsible for running this nation, his primary job is NOT to toot his own horn. His primary job is to run this once great nation...and attempt to bring America out of the shithole 8 years of Dubbya buried America under. POTUS Obama needs to be able to concentrate on government, and world issues, and any emergencies that pop up....NOT out stumping to herald his achievements.


Democrats have made me sick tonight. Made me think seriously about changing my vote to another party. The organized confusion among Democrats is unacceptable. The RepubliCANTS/teabaggers had a field of insane candidates but they were organized insane candidates. Palin/Beck/Limbaugh/Coulter, they all got out there and did their thing...pushing fear and racism to get their followers all fired up. Democrats did nothing.


Now comes the next two years of more obstruction of government, more lies, more misinformation, more out sourcing of jobs, more cutting of jobs when the RepubliCANTS/teabaggers abolish the social programs started by FDR. So I will predict what will happen the next two years of POTUS Obama's term. He will be hog tied, his agenda stops now. He will be tied up the next two years fighting with his veto power, and hoping the over ride of his veto power is not present. I predict this great POTUS will be a one term President.
America is fucked, and so are the Democrats.

Five Reasons Why Democrats Will Win Today.

According to the New York Times, there are five reasons why a turnaround is possible.

1. The cell phone effect: A lot of American adults (now about one-quarter of them) have ditched their landlines and rely exclusively on their mobile phones, and a lot of pollsters don't call mobile phones. Cell-phone-only voters tend to be younger, more urban, and less white - all Democratic demographics - and a study by Pew Research suggests that the failure to include them might bias the polls by about four points against Democrats, even after demographic weighting is applied. There is also some indirect evidence for the cell phone effect. What follows is a list of each firm's final generic ballot poll, arranged from the best result for Democrats to the worst:

The 'robo-poll' effect: Unlike in past years, there are significant differences between the results shown by automated surveys and those which use live human interviewers - the 'robo-polls' being three or four points more favorable to Republicans over all, although the effects vary a lot from firm to firm. Automated surveys, while they have performed fairly well in the past (although in the past, importantly, they did not show these systematic differences from regular surveys), have a number of potential problems that essentially boil down to extremely low response rates, which could potentially bias the samples. For instance, it may be that only adults who are extremely engaged by politics (who are more likely to be Republican, especially this year) bother to respond to them.

3. Some likely voter models, particularly Gallup's, may "crowd out" Democratic voters. Gallup's traditional likely voter model has consistently shown terrible results for Democrats this year, having them down by around 15 points on the generic ballot, which could translate into a loss of 70 to 80 House seats, or maybe even more. The Gallup poll and the Gallup poll alone is probably responsible for much of the sense of impending doom that Democrats feel and the (premature for at least 24 more hours) sense of triumphalism that Republicans are experiencing.

There is quite a bit of room to critique the poll, however. The basic potential issue is that Gallup uses fixed turnout targets. For instance, they estimate that 40 percent of the electorate will vote, and then let their respondents fight it out to see who the 40 percent most likely to vote are.

And Gallup's model can produce some strange effects.

The counterargument would be that midterm election turnout has indeed been extremely stable at about 40 percent of the population, so Gallup is on solid footing in assuming that it will be somewhere in that range again.

But there is some evidence that turnout might be unusually high in this election: there is no doubt that Republican engagement is likely to be extraordinary, but Democratic involvement, also, in fact appears to be about average or slightly above.

Gallup gets a lot of deference, because it is one of the best polling organizations in the world, and because its likely voter model has done very, very well in predicting the outcome of past midterm elections.

4. Democrats probably have better turnout operations. This is always what a party says when it's about to lose an election: our amazing turnout operation will save us! Still, Democrats probably do have an edge in this department with the voter lists and infrastructure they built up during Barack Obama's campaign, and which have been perpetuated to some extent by Organizing For America. John McCain, by contrast, eschewed his ground game, devoting almost all of his money to advertising.

5. The consensus view of Democratic doom is not on such sound footing as it seems. When a party is likely to sustain fairly significant losses in a midterm election - and Democrats are going to sustain fairly significant losses tomorrow - there are a lot of things you might expect to see.

Each of the indicators that I mentioned above is a direct manifestation of polling data. The message in the polls this year is unambiguous: bad things are going to happen to Democrats. The polls are probably going to be right.

Our Congressional forecasting models are based on an intensive study of six political cycles: 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008. In five of those six years, the polls were quite good - they missed a few races, but were very strong overall. (ANI)

Election Day.

Election Day Is Here. The arguing, the lying, the misinformation, the negative advertisements, the name calling, the facts, the truth, the biased media efforts, the big corporations, the fabricated reports and grafts and polls, the charts and blackboards....all these things will now mean jack shit. The pundits, the experts, the pollsters, the canvassers, the robocallers, the phone banks, all the volunteers, all the lawn sighs and all the campaign literature, all that shit is now gone.


The only thing that matters today is casting your vote for you. For which party will help your family in the long run. Which party will help you remain employed? Which party will help you if/when you become unemployed? Which party is interested in middle America? Which party will not cut more jobs by abolishing government departments and abolishing government programs? Which party will NOT remove Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, and social programs designed to help less fortunate Americans? Which party passed a Health Care Law to allow your pre existing condition to be cared for? Which party had to fight tooth and nail to get every important piece of legislation past the obstructionists other party?


I have always believed Americans are not stupid or slow or fat and lazy. Us Americans are intelligent, informed, knowledgeable and  honest hard working people. We know the difference between a lie, misinformation, false facts, made up issues, and the outright bull shit ploy to deflect the real issues AND the  facts, truth, research, logic and common sense. 
Tuesday The Second of "NO"vember, TwentyTen is We The People Day here In America. Vote America, Vote for the Party that gives you the safer, better story. Vote for the party that cares about ALL Americans not just the wealthy Americans.


SO...tonight after the polls are closed, and the votes are all counted, and we are all settling down to watch the results on our favorite news show....remember this....If you want to keep whet you have struggled for, worked hard to get, sacrificed everything to attain all that you have,....only one party is interested in helping you continue to prosper. I say America/Americans are intelligent enough to KNOW which party is for them. And which party wants to take America "back" to a worse time.
